The paper aims to the analysis of poetic works of Sylvia Plath with a view to establishing in which manner visual arts was influenced on poetry of Sylvia Plath. In this regard, the theory of intermediality is examined in detail in the research. The search of visual images which were seen by the poet in films, theatrical productions and on the paintings of famous European artists is implemented in the paper by study of entries from journals of Sylvia Plath.
