Tatneft is one of the largest players in the oil and gas industry. The effectiveness of its work is influenced by many factors, including external and internal. This proposed project will address the external and internal environment of the company, as well as barriers and drivers for its effective development work in the market. Despite the availability of a large set of tools for studying the company's position and internal state, the general approaches to practical and theoretical assessment of the above factors are not applicable separately to this company due to the specifics of its activities and the limited focus of consideration. Therefore, the proposed project aims to develop strategic options based on the consolidation of the analysis of the external and internal environment of Tatneft. For this purpose, quantitative and qualitative methods will be used to analyze the company's competitive environment, product offer, portfolio structure, etc. The result of the proposed project assumes that enough information is available after a full analysis, based on which strategic options will be developed and offered with the use of SWOT-analysis.
