Developing Competitive Strategy for a Career Case of Career Contests

In the modern economy, large corporations, along with small and medium-sized businesses, face several problems, one of which is the lack of qualified personnel. Career competitions also referred to as" case Championships" solve the problem of lack of qualified specialists on the part of employer companies, and the problem of employment after graduation for graduates. The organization of these competitions is aimed at helping companies to promote the employer's brand and hire promising specialists, while students get the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, prove themselves to potential employers, get career bonuses and an invitation to work already in the final of the case championship, so the market for career competitions is growing and promising. Changellenge >> is the first company on the Russian market to start organizing case Championships. This work aims to develop a competitive strategy for Changellenge >> to strengthen Its position in the career competition market. In the theoretical part of the work, the types of competitive strategies, and their features are studied, the main methods of strategic analysis, their advantages and disadvantages are highlighted. In the practical part, the General characteristics of the company Changellenge > > are presented, the analysis of the external environment using the PEST analysis method and competitive analysis using the model of five competitive forces by M. Porter; a map of strategic groups is constructed and the company Changellenge >> is compared with competitors using the Benchmarking method. The internal environment of the company is analyzed using the SNW method, and the results of 20 interviews with participants of the case-championships are presented, based on which the main value factors for participation are identified. Based on the obtained data, a SWOT analysis table was compiled, key strategic alternatives were identified, the company's competitive strategy was selected, and recommendations were made. Based on the results obtained during the tasks, it is concluded that Changellenge >> should adhere to a strategy of diversification: to develop the format of online Championships and enter the international market of career competitions.
