Automatic Pleonasm Detection in Russian

We introduce the first fully automated system of pleonasm detection in Russian. The work considers theoretical and empirical studies in the field of linguistic redundancy; describes copora analysis of pleonasms, data augmentation algorithms, and wide range of experiments. Collected and augmented data will be useful in further research of linguistic redundancy. The developed architecture may be embedded into grammar correction systems or used as a separate module of pleonasm detection.
