Margaret Thatcher's Language Personality as a Political Leader

This master's thesis is based on the latest achievements of modern linguistic, psychological, philosophical, cultural sciences. This interdisciplinary, synthesizing, pragmatically-oriented research is aimed at the cumulative and systematic description of the characteristic semantic features of the linguistic personality of a successful political leader. The analysis of the stylistic characteristics of the speech of the linguistic personality of Margaret Thatcher as a politician, opinion leader, effective manager and statesman is prepared on the basis of her rhetorical skills, strategies and techniques, intonation models of her speech, as well as verbal and non-verbal expressions of her personality, reflected in her interviews, speeches and negotiations. The practical value of this applied research lies in the fact that the results of this work can be used in the development of rhetorical skills, persuasive power and professional image of social workers, consultants, coaches, psychologists, sports and business trainers, teachers and educators; marketers, human resources managers, call operators and workers of technical support in both international and Russian companies, middle and senior managers, including top management; people starting to build their career in business and politics from scratch, as well as everyone who wants to work on their soft skills, negotiation capabilities, lobbying techniques, team-building abilities as well as on the habit of being a proactive, productive, efficient, effective and successful leader, whenever they have to work.
