Improvement of a Purchase Planning System of a Trade Company

The relevance of the study. Nowadays, competition between trading companies is growing every day. Consumers are becoming more demanding, and retain the customer base only through quality products and a wide range becomes more complicated. For satisfying customers and successful competitiveness, companies need to increase the level of service they provide and ability to respond quickly to changes in customer demands. For this it is necessary to pay attention to the accuracy of demand forecasting. Improving the accuracy of forecasting will allow trading companies to plan purchases more flexibly, to maintain a high level of service and reduce costs to the immobilization of funds in excess reserves. The research object of this work is a retail trading company, which operates in the field of furniture and goods for home (Household). The subject of research is procurement planning system of the company. The practical significance of this SRS is to reuse the results of the work to improve interaction between market participants (workers and suppliers of furniture products) and optimize the procurement process. The aim of this work is to develop recommendations for improving the procurement planning system of the company engaged in retail trade furniture and home goods to improve the efficiency of procurement processes, improve service and identify ways to reduce costs. In accordance with the purpose of this SRS it is possible to allocate the following tasks that need to be addressed in this study: 1) Analysis of economic activities of the organization (analysis of the competitive environment of the company; analysis of financial and economic indicators and analysis of the logistics activities) and identify existing problems. 2) Analysis of literature to find solutions to identified problems and adapting these solutions to the specific business areas of the company. The development of an algorithm step-by-step implementation of changes.
