Improvement of an Inventory Management System a Case of a Trade Company

The diploma consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion and a list of references. The main text is presented on 70 pages, including 15 tables, 13 figures and 6 diagrams. In the introduction there is a general description of research: topic relevance, the formulation of goals and objectives, characteristics of object and subject, defines the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter presents an analysis of the company's position on the market, its financial, economic and logistics activities. The process of planning logistics for the supply of a trading company is analyzed. The second chapter examines the priority concepts of the inventory management system and best practices that cover this topic. The third chapter contains newly developed procedures aimed at improving the inventory management process of a trading company. A model for managing key inventory categories is presented. The author's solution for improving the organizational structure of management is offered. This chapter also reveals the impact of the proposed procedures on DuPont's strategic profit model. In conclusion, the key inference and results of the research are presented.
