Corporate governance index (CGI) is used as a proxy for corporate governance performance. CGI is based on 6 dimensions: Disclosure, Board of Directors, Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee, Sharia Supervisory Board, Investment account holders. The information for CGI was obtained from banks’ annual reports. The significant positive relationship of corporate governance effect on the Islamic bank’s profitability is found.
