Linguistics of the late XX - early XI century is characterized by the increased interest of scientists in the problem of text comprehension. Although psycholinguistics is a relatively new field, it is still of great importance for the research in children speech development, forensic psychology and criminology. It arose in connection with the need to give a theoretical understanding of a number of practical problems, for which a purely linguistic approach is necessary, primarily, in relation to text analysis. The purpose of this work is to identify perceptual features of interpretation of the semantic structure of the text in the context of psycholinguistics with the aim to frame out possible practical applications in the field of text studies. Since psycholinguistics is a relatively new discipline, the present research is expected to contribute to the problem of interpretation of semantic structure of a text. The findings will provide a better understanding of possible perspectives of the studies in this field.
