Communicative Competence of Students in the Process of Participation in Intercultural Projects

This work is devoted to the problem of the intercultural competence of students from Higher School of Economics in learning English language on a professional level and its usage during the participation in international projects, conferences seminars, etc. Student has a clear knowledge of proper communication and is able to apply them in practice while interacting with native speakers of the language being studied, observing all norms, rules and traditions. Moreover, a well-developed cross-cultural awareness and literacy can help students to develop a good level of intercultural competence. This article pays attention to the concept of intercultural communication, the level of intercultural competence and ways of its measurements and improvements, the peculiarities of the national character of the communicators, the specifics of their emotional warehouse and behavior, national specifications of thinking.
