The Perception of the Concept of a Woman in the Linguistic World Image of Spanish Native Speakers

The relevance of concept research in the modern world is obvious. Currently, studying concepts is one of the main tasks for linguistics in general. In addition, the "Woman" concept study is relevant due to its high representativeness in modern Hispanic discourse, which, in turn, indicates that this concept is distinctive in the linguistic consciousness of the individual. The practical value of this work is that its results can be applied to the Spanish lesson curriculum in high schools. The aim of the research is to study the concept of a woman in the linguistic worldview of the Spanish-speakers. The object of the research: concept “woman”, its meaning in the linguistic picture of the world in the Spanish-speaking countries. The subject of the study is the language representation of the concept “woman”. The material for the research includes article entries from modern explanatory, etymological dictionaries, texts from the Spanish media. The first chapter represents the key terms of "concept", the structure of the concept, its main features. There is a review of various approaches to the study of the concept and to the analysis of the concept. Special attention is paid to the method of analysis of the concept by V.A. Maslova. The second chapter contains the presentation of the concept of WOMAN in the linguistic worldview of Spanish speakers; the semantic structure of the concept WOMAN in Spanish; consideration of the image of a woman in the modern culture of Hispanic countries; comparison of the image of a modern woman with the image of a woman during Franxist Spain; conclusions based on a free associative experiment.
