The position of women is one of the main information agendas of modern society. The progressive world community is no longer satisfied with the once established patriarchal system of views in the world. Women around the world demand a fair assessment of themselves as individuals, as professionals, as full members of society. There are countries that are more inclined to overcome an outdated value system, and there are those where, due to their mentality, it is still difficult to promote such an agenda - for example, Russia. We live in a country where domestic violence is still decriminalized, the position of women is rather precarious and not accompanied by adequate legal support. The prevailing reality pushed the authors to the idea of creating a documentary film “It is [not] accepted in our country”, which surveys women in a crisis situation. The format of the embodiment - a documentary film - was determined on the basis of the author's experience of a special visual perception through documentary filmmaking. Researchers in the field have repeatedly published articles on the enhanced educational function of audiovisual works that capture unadjusted reality. The object of the research is, accordingly, crisis centers for women. The subject of the research is the behavior and actions of a woman in a crisis situation in a specific social and legal environment (Russia). The social mission of the media product is to contribute to the spread of awareness of certain problems in Russian society (insufficient social protection of women, patriarchal foundations, violence and abuse) and knowledge of the existing system of assistance to women in trouble.
