Educational Contests as a Factor of Students Academic Success

The national project “Education” contains a chapter on pedagogical contests system mandatory updating. Сontests are considered as a means or tool for teachers’ professional growth. The main goal of this investigation is detecting of conditions in which the professional achievement contests can be a tool for increasing academic performance of educational institution students. During the research different theoretical and practical methods were used: analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature and regulatory documents of the professional contests, analysis of the automation recording system “Paragraph” data, survey methods. The result of this work is the model of organizational support pedagogical contests participants, which contains motivation, organizational and psychological support of contests participants in view of conducted research. The results of this work can be interested to directors of schools and head teachers for increasing teacher motivation to take part in pedagogical contests.
