Intra-school Development Management of Professional Competence of the Teacher

Nowadays, the problem of improving the quality of school education is relevant all over the world. The results of both international and domestic studies demonstrate the need for changes in Russian education, the main subject of which is the teacher. The work is devoted to the problem of management of a teacher's professional competence development. The paper provides an analysis of theoretical approaches and practices for the development of a teacher's professional competence. The author of the dissertation research clarified the theoretical concepts of the essence of "in-school management of a teacher's professional competence development"; the content, structure, functions, and criteria for the effectiveness of in-school management of the teachers' professional competence development have been determined; a matrix of the teachers' professional competencies and tools for the development and assessment of teacher's professional competence have been developed. The work contains a description of the system of in-school management of teacher's professional competence development, outlaid by the author, the results of testing, and recommendations for implementation. The results obtained can be used by managers in the modernization and improvement of the management system for the teacher's professional competence development both at the level of the educational organization and at the state level in the development of state educational policy; by teachers to build an individual educational route.
