Currently, the IEEE 802.1AE (MACSec) standard in Linux is implemented using the GCM encryption mode, which is absent in the national standards of the Russian Federation and is not certified by the FSS. In this paper, we propose the application of the authenticated encryption algorithm Multilinear Galois Mode (MGM) mode into the IEEE 802.1AE standard (MACSec) for the Linux OS kernel. This enables using the reliable IEEE 802.1AE (MACSec) encryption standard in Russian cryptographic solutions.
