Summary The child is constantly under the influence of various forces that surround him. If the main stage of personality formation is the school age, the issue of cooperation between the school and the family is rather significant. The interaction of the family and the educational institution is based on one common goal: to form cooperative relations between all participants of the education process. In this work studies of the interaction of the educational institution and parents were carried out in the educational process of "School No. 113." In the research it is shown how psychological and pedagogical counselling of parents affected the education and upbringing process in the class. Students achievements have improved, and the assessment of parental communication with the school has also changed positively. The analysis of the questionnaires showed the need to educate parents in the education process at school. Severe changes in the education system, such as the introduction of distant learning technologies, can force parents to involve their children in this process. When a number of individual meetings are held with parents, not on the issues of student backlog or other problems, parents start initiate meetings or personal communication themselves.
