Request from governmental and non-governmental investors for integration mechanisms of education, science and business for the development of knowledge-based economy in Armenia

Abstract Study focuses on the problem of integration of science education and business in Armenia. It provides an overview based on world experience on this subject and justifies relevance for the region. Depending on specific research objectives the following methods has been used: collection and analyses of information, quantitative and qualitative sociological methods, (content analyses, interview, and comparative analysis of data) and others. A series of interviews had been conducted with the representatives of State bodies of science and education in Armenia to identify the request of governmental and non-governmental investors in the framework of the problem. The paper presents the comparative analyses of indicators of Armenia according to World Bank (Doing business-2020), Word Economic Forum, International Telecommunication Union and Statistical Committee of the Government of Armenia. Upon identified request have been proposed recommendations to improve mechanisms of integration of science, education and business in Armenia. That could contribute to sharply increase the competitiveness of Universities and the quality of educational process. The research results could be of interest for Universities and academic institutions, Armenian Diaspora representatives and business community and other stakeholders.
