The research topic is stimulated by an article from the American journal of political science - "Does Public Opinion Affect Political Speech?" The authors of the publication try to identify the factors that influence the change in the political agenda set forth by leading political leaders, under the influence of public opinion. According to the results of the study, we can say that the goal is to identify the presence of changes or adjustments to the topics of the political agenda, depending on the public opinion of the citizens of the United States. America's political leader's speeches has been achieved. We found out that the political agenda during the period under study did not practically differ from the position of society on the Iranian nuclear issue. Public opinion polls confirm our theory, as well as publications in the mass media of the United States of America of different political orientations - the liberal New York Times and the conservative Wall Street Journal. the political agenda of the United States of America during the study period was responsive to the preferences and opinions of the public.
