The topic of the thesis is " The meaning of the poetry of Arseny Tarkovsky in the film "The Mirror"by Andrey Tarkovsky. The work analyzes four poems that sound in the film: "First Dates" (1962), "In the morning I waited for you yesterday..."(1941), "Eurydice" (1961), "Life, Life" (1965). As a result of the analysis of these lyrical works, the role of poems in the episodes in which they sound was determined. "First dates" - a poem about the beginning of a relationship; "In the morning I waited for you yesterday" - about the tragedy of love; "Eurydice" - about the liberation of the soul; "Life is life" is a triptych, which refers to the immortality of poetry and family and human relationships. The work deals with common motifs and images for lyrics and cinema, such as: a mirror, time, kinship, the connection of generations, the theme of creativity. The movement in the work goes from the first poem to the last. The connection of these poems is shown not only with specific episodes, but also how these lyrical works are connected with the entire fabric of the film. The important role of the connection between the creativity of father and son, which is reflected in the film, is noted.
