The Features of the International Legal Responsibility of International Intergovernmental Organizations

Student: Khamchenkova Polina

Supervisor: Olga Egorshina

Faculty: School of Law

Educational Programme: Jurisprudence (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

nternational intergovernmental organizations are independent subjects of law with a special legal nature that is different from the nature of the member states that form them. However, in view of the limited volume of judicial practice in cases of bringing international organizations to justice, it is interesting to analyze the existing provisions on the responsibility of organizations and the mechanism for their implementation in practice. The work also examines in detail the grounds for the complete or partial exemption of an international organization from liability in view of the existence of immunity or grounds precluding the wrongfulness of acts, as well as the transfer of responsibility for such acts to the member states of the international organization.
