Comparison of the Pledge of Things and the Pledge of Other Objects of Civil Rights

This paper examines the issue of the relationship between the pledge of movable and immovable things, on the one hand, and the pledge of obligations, corporate and intellectual rights, on the other. The author asks whether there is any reason to say that the pledge of any object of civil rights is a example of the same institution. Historical and theoretical views, modern Russian legislation are considered. An assessment of the quality of the legislative reforms carried out is given.
