The study of the information technology industry for investment is becoming a particularly relevant topic because of the crisis related to the Covid-19 (2019-nCoV) pandemic. Some of the IT companies showed good financial results, but the others cannot show the same efficient deliverable. Despite a great amount of research has been conducted on the factors that influence the dynamics of share prices, separate economic sectors have been studied less. This paper’s goal is to find specific factors that influence the dynamics of share prices of IT companies. The research is focused on the IT sector of USA market and covers the period of six years from 2014 to 2019. The sample for the regression consists of 9 the largest American IT companies. The analysis investigates the connection between some macroeconomic, microeconomic, intra-industry variables and the stock price. The results obtained by conducting the analysis can be useful for the scientific community, management of companies and investors.
