In recent years, more and more countries are committed to one of the priorities of the economy-the transition to innovative development. New technologies and competitive products on the market are the main achievements that every developed country is currently fighting for. This study examines the signs of innovation development in countries. Considerable attention has been paid to forecasting innovation activity in recent years. To do this, it is proposed to study the data set of Rosstat and the OECD using the traditional data processing method: classical regression . The time series were studied, a model based on spatial data was built, which showed interesting results, as well as a model based on panel data for the regions of Russia.
