For decades, economists have been trying to work out the key to eradicating poverty on Earth. Recent studies have proved that there is no universal formula for fighting poverty; it is worth looking at the struggle in each country, region and village separately. This paper looks at poverty in emerging India because of long-standing discrimination within society, where escaping from the poverty trap seems almost impossible. However, modern machine learning techniques are able to analyze large amounts of data and predict the possibility of both escaping and falling into poverty.
