Application of Analytical Tools for Improving Distribution Planning Using the Example of FMCG Company

The study is devoted to the development and application of analytical tools for improving distribution planning in FMCG industry using the example of the company-manufacturer of premium pet food JSC Ruscan. The aim of the study is to improve the approach to the process of distribution planning of products in contexts of its limited availability and shortage. As a result, approaches to organizing distribution planning were analyzed in order to determine the optimal set of modern digital analytical tools to improve the distribution planning process, taking into account features of the pet food industry and the focus company in particular. The developed solution was tested on the distribution system of the focus company in order to determine its effectiveness and compliance with the stated requirements. The result of using is the optimal distribution of the company's products, especially ones which are in shortage, between all branches in terms of total costs, which will increase inventory turnover and reduce the cost of storing low turnover inventory, as well as improve the overall level of service in context of limited availability of products.
