Improving Distribution Network of a Trading Company

The object of research is the trading company «Perekrestok», which is the part of X5 Retail Group. The subject of the research is the distribution network of the focus trading company in the Siberian region. The purpose of the study is to develop a list of recommendations to improve the distribution network of the focus trading company for the stores in the Siberian region. The work will consider the sphere of food retail, namely the trading company Perekrestok. This company plans to open 11 stores in the new region in connection with entering new markets. It is necessary to organize the replenishment of new stores, analyze the efficiency of supply chain for already operating stores (cost calculation), select the optimal supply chain, taking into account the time of delivery, logistics service, costs, evaluate the performance of the current distribution network and identify areas for further development and improvement. It is also necessary to analyze the possibility of synergy between the logistics business processes of the focus company with another retail network of X5 Retail Group operating in a different price segment, which has a logistics infrastructure in a new sales region for «Perekrestok».
