Producing Socio-political Talk Shows on Russian Federal TV Channels

The scientific research is devoted to the production of social and political talk shows on Russian federal TV channels. The author studied the most popular Soviet and Russian socio-political talk shows in the periods from 1980 to 2001. and from 2008 to 2021, in connection with which the paper presents the results of the analysis of the "producer project" - the stages of launching and promoting socio-political talk shows, considers the responsibilities and competencies of TV producers and defines their role in creating a talk show of socio-political character. Analyzed the ways to modernize social and political talk shows during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic in Russia and the world. The result of the research work was the identification of competitiveness factors and trends in the production of socio-political talk shows.
