Comparative Analysis of the Peculiarities of the Work of Female War Photojournalists From the First Half of the Twentieth Century to the Beginning of the Twenty-first Century

This graduation work is intended to review, study and systematize information about female military photojournalists who works in hot spots for more than a hundred years. The main purpose of the work is to explore the features of this profession that women face. In the first part of the study, I talk about military photojournalism: when it appeared, how it developed, what equipments were used. In the second part of the work, I study female military photojournalists: I write short biographies of the most famous photojournalists, explore gender discrimination, describe restrictions on entering the profession and compare the work of women in different historical periods. In the third part of the work, I write about the future of military photojournalism and the place of women in it. The purpose of this graduation work is to trace the qualitative changes in this profession and compare them. The result of my research is a complete and comprehensive analysis of this problem, which affect gender studies, history, military journalism, and the development of photography.
