Role of National Economic Development in the Evolution of Private Companies: Cases of India and South Korea

Student: Chulkov Aleksandr

Supervisor: Maxim Bratersky

Faculty: Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs

Educational Programme: Double degree programme in International Relations of the NRU HSE and the University of London (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The research has focused on the explanation of the link between national economic development and the evolution of national corporate sector. The author had proved, based on the examples of South Korea and India, that indeed the quality and design of national economic development directly affects the way the corporations would evolve. The author had also found that it is hard or even impossible to universally identify the direct link between national economic development and evolution of private companies, since the presence of the link in South Korean and Indian cases does not guarantee its presence in other states. Therefore, author introduces a unique supranational model for the regulation of relations among entrepreneurs and political elites, which, as the author proclaims, would serve as a universally encompassing field for development of both, corporations and national economies as a whole.
