Within the framework of the globalization trend, international cooperation in various spheres of public life is being actualized. Globalization has a positive impact on the development of the industry of scientific progress, culture, health care, and also contributes to the establishment of international peace on earth. Meanwhile, globalization entails the emergence of such negative consequences as transnational crime. In such conditions, the issue of international legal assistance becomes especially relevant, since international cooperation, namely, the international extradition of criminals considered in this study, contributes to the formation of social justice, the implementation of the principles of legality and inevitability of criminal punishment for committing a criminal offense. It is also noted that the issue of extradition cannot be called purely legal, since all international segments of law are directly influenced by the policies of states and international diplomatic relations. Thus, the international extradition of criminals affects issues of national international law, international agreements and treaties, as well as other criminal and criminal procedural aspects, and is a complex complex multi-scientific phenomenon that requires special attention from legislators, politicians and the scientific community. Within the framework of this study, the theoretical and legal aspects of extradition are highlighted, including the concept, principles, meaning and historical formation of the legal institution in question, the regulatory framework for extradition, including international acts and national legislation, is also considered, in addition, an analysis of international practice and current problems is made. international extradition of criminals.
