Problems of Complementarity and Substitution of Digital Goods and Human Capital

The last decades are the trend of digitalization. In the final qualifying work, the interaction of digital goods and a person was investigated. Because not only technology complements human activity, but also a person activates technology, and develops new technologies depending on human’s needs. The paper provides a historical overview of relevant research. Models of human behavior and digital technologies, goods have been built and analyzed in order to understand how the increase in the use of digital goods can affect the well-being and wages of people. To assess this, the coefficient of interchangeability of digital technologies and labor force in one of the models was used. And also, the effect of increased use of digital goods in production on wages was investigated.
