Analysis of the Determinants of the Economic profit of Russian Companies

Due to the fact the retail market in Russia is constantly growing, interest expressed from the market in these companies is growing too. Companies in this sector need to adapt to the challenges of increased competition to keep up with their competitors. To achieve that goal, retail business began active development of e-commerce, implemented new technologies to improve business processes. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the study of the determinants of economic profit, consideration of a wide range of determinants (in particular, the most interesting financial indicators, non-financial determinants). Author analyzed specific operating and financial indicators related only to retail business. The conducted research is a case study with a deep dive into the performance of individual companies to identify the “best” strategy for creating economic profit.
