The thesis analyzes the work of David Grimm, who was one of the leading architects, of Russian architecture of the second half of the 19th century (so-called period of "national styles"). An attempt is made to determine the role of the architect in the development of the Byzantine and Russian styles, as well as the influence that his work had on the further development of Russian architecture.
