Podcast Series Production «The Student and After» (working title). Journalistic Аspect

Student: Marchenko Victoria

Supervisor: Tatiana Tikhomirova

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Journalism (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

This creative project is dedicated to social and psychological problems after graduation. We consider the issue on the example of graduates of 2018-2020. The main task is to find out and tell what problems graduates face after graduation. The issues of youth unemployment, diploma defense and passing final exams in an online format during the coronavirus pandemic were also discussed. In addition, my colleague and I conducted a series of interviews with alumni to find out how they solve similar problems. Our project provides unique information about the real life experience of alumni. We used the interview format to reveal the story of each guest: 1. A hero working in his profession; 2. A hero working in a different profession; 3. A hero who does not officially work anywhere. In addition, we used the survey method to research and get to know our target audience (students and alumni) better, and to prepare the most interesting questions for the interviewees. Our project will help future graduates to realize that they are not alone in such problems, and a series of interviews will show them the possibilities of growth and facing various difficulties in this difficult period of transition from adolescence to adulthood. Keywords: podcast, graduation, graduates, students, unemployment, distance final exams, pandemic, coronavirus, study abroad, distance protection of a diploma, fear of the future, search for oneself, self-realization.
