Present study is aimed at defining the agenda of the systemic opposition parties during the election campaign before the elections to regional legislatures in 2020 using the method of critical discourse analysis. We must confirm or deny the use of electoral populism by parties. The sample will consist of public texts produced by parties and their MPs over 11 regional campaigns. In the first section of the work, a review of the literature on this topic will be performed; in the second section, a discourse analysis of public texts will be carried out; and in the third, its interpretation and substantive conclusions will follow. As a result of the study, we have discovered that while some parties had not used electoral populism (almost or at all), others had. Therefore, the nature of electoral struggle as such can not be identified; instead, it is more practical to speak of the way individual parties act in the varied context of different regions. However, the agenda of the parties has been identified to be very much shared between them and across regions, with an emphasis on welfare policies.
