Warehouse logistics is essential for companies with inventories. Every year, the needs of consumers change quickly and regularly, the requirements for warehouse systems are increasing. In this regard, there is an active optimization of warehouse systems and related information flows. The most effective way to optimize is the application of project management methodology. One of the simplest and most effective tools for implementing process optimization projects is the DMAIC approach, which consists of 5 steps: definition, measurement, analysis, improvement, control. As part of this work, a DMAIC project was implemented to improve the warehouse logistics process in a company selling automotive components and spare parts. Based on this project, a roadmap was developed for the implementation of a DMAIC project to optimize the process by folding logistics, within which each stage is described and the use of various tools for companies with similar specifics.
