The Specialties of the Development of Energy Policy in the European Union Countries in 2014-2019

This paper scrutinizes the specialties of integration processes within the European Union. The subject of this paper is the process of energy integration in the field of energy relations. The author considers alterations in the energy policy and diplomacy of the European Union countries which were determined by the European Union Energy Strategy adopted in 2014. The special attention was paid to the concept of the Energy Union within the EU as a phenomenon in economic integration. The author analyzes precursors for the aforementioned alterations in the energy policy of EU member-states, key components of these changes and the factors which determined these changes. The paper also deals with the issues of energy cooperation between the European Union member-states and the third party in the field of the energy policy and diplomacy in the context energy integration. The author analyzes how the alterations in the European Union energy policy influence the relations with the third party on energy issues and vice versa.
