Educational Programme: International Relations (Bachelor)

This study was dedicated to the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road". The study reveals that this project is an instrument of the PRC created to promote its economic and political influence in the world. This study also analyzes the risks and opportunities for Russia while implementing the BRI. The hypothesis of the study is as follows: while China denies political motives and highlights the economic component of the project, the Belt and Road Initiative is aimed at strengthening economic and political influence of China and creating opportunities for further reforming the world order. It was proved that the initiative is not an integration project as its content and structure do not correspond to the characteristics of an economic integration entity.
