In the broadest sense, the concept of "duality", and, more specifically "dual identity", is used in many areas of science and art. The origins of the phenomenon of "duality" come from the ancient dualistic view of man. Man is by nature dual and ambivalent, and duality is an everyday state of human soul. Moreover, a sculpture, a mannequin or a doll can be made in the image of a person, and these are also "doubles". All these phenomena, according to the concept of "Uncanny" by Sigmund Freud, have the greatest creepy effect, since a person becomes scared not because of something alien, but, in contrast, of something familiar. This study investigated the manifestation of "doubles" and "duality" in general, which are still interesting and attractive topics. There can be many "doubles": a real twin, a reflection in a mirror, a shadow or a dark side of personality that lives inside each person. The question of "duality" is especially evident for twins, as they are faced with the problem of comparison with a twin brother or sister, who is a literal "double". Furthermore, up to four years old, twins perceive everyone except each other as only a part of the world around them. They are locked in communication with each other and create their own verbal and non-verbal language. During the study, artistic techniques that show twinning and duality have been identified and individual author's methods that are applicable to clothing design have been developed in order to create a successful co-authored collection of clothing with a twin sister. The results of two parts of the study of "duality" have been combined and a concept of a fashion collection has been created. Content analysis, observation method and inductive thinking were used to investigate the phenomenon of "duality" and apply it to own collection of clothing. The preparation of clothing collection and lookbook shooting are expected, as well as the promotion of the collection in social networks and commerce. The study of the phenomenon of "doubles" and "duality" opens up many ways of working with clothes, techniques, methods and solutions that can be successfully applied to fashion design.
