Developing a Website About Mental Health: Creating Content With Simulation Elements

Student: Smoleva Polina

Supervisor: Oksana Moroz

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Media Communications (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2021

The relevance of the project is due to the growth of mental illness, the stigmatization of people with mental problems, the presence of a free niche for media projects with immersion in the problem of mental illness. The goal of the project is to create an information site on mental health that immerses you in the world of the psyche. To implement the project, we used methods of literature analysis, sociological methods: online surveys, interviews, and user observations. The website was developed using UX / UI design. The design and creative work consists of an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. The first chapter discusses the representation of mental health in the media and the use of virtual reality in the field of mental health. The second chapter "Project Note" contains a description of organizational and project issues, the results of the analysis of the competitive environment, the target audience, and the rationale for choosing tools for creating a website. The third chapter describes the content with elements of simulation, visual design, and site interface. The developed website "ПСИХИКАVR" is aimed at developing empathy, reducing the stigmatization of people with mental problems in society. Also, the materials posted on the site may be of interest to students studying in the specialty "Psychology".
