Mediatization of the Process of Learning a Foreign Language (Using the Example of German Language)

The present academic paper is connected to the problem issue of mediatization of the process of learning a foreign language. The research aims to make a convincing contribution to the understanding of this phenomenon. Based on the theoretical foundation and empirical evidence, the paper subsequently reflects interrelation between media and foreign language education. The process of learning the German language was taken as an example and investigated through a cross-disciplinary perspective. The study has indicated that the current position of mediatization consequences research is inadequate and more attention should be addressed to the practical issues of integration of media tools into educational practices. Therefore, the results of the research have a number of important implications for a foreign language learning practice and also reveal the new aspects for further research.
