Clip-making and Contemporary Music Industry: Features of Cultural Influence

Music video is one of the most influential form of visual culture that constantly affects the music industry in general. Music video exponentially increases artists’ visibility and exposure, especially in the Internet age. This paper aims to investigate the issues of the cultural influence of clip making in the context of the modern music industry. Methods used in this study were qualita-tive content analysis of the music clip as a cultural phenomenon in general, and contextual research and analysis of new trends in the development of the mass music industry at the present stage and as a result I will implement the development of a music video in practice. Review of the literature sources on these issues is conducted.
