Images and Heroes Behavior Models of the TV Series “The Crown”

“The Crown” TV series triumphantly concluded its fourth season on the streaming platform Netflix a few months ago. The popularity of these series has reached unprecedent proportions: the Internet was filled with enthusiastic reviews from viewers and articles about the series in popular media, during the entire fourth season, which speaks not only of the fans’ love for this work, but also of the scale of the audience that is passionate about it. This study will address the issue of the phenomenon of the popularity of “The Crown". The particular attention will be paid to the identification of the viewer with the series and its characters. Based on the results of the study, it is planned to understand why “The Crown" has become so loved by viewers all over the world. In this article we are going to assume that the viewer needs to see the correct (approved) and recognizable behaviors in the series. In the case of "The Crown", this value is increased as these are examples of high society behavior. The first part of the research is going to present a qualitative comparative study aimed at studying the methods of models of social behavior of people and movie characters and related concepts that are derived by various authors of the studies. The second part of the study is going to be a detailed analysis of the phenomenon of serial culture in the context of streaming platforms and their impact on this area and popular culture in general. The third part of the study will present a sublimation of the first two parts of the research: a methodological analysis of “The Crown” series and its characters will be carried out, and then the popularity of this historical work in modern society in the context of current realities and phenomena will be investigated.
