Mediatization of Civil Activism in Uzbekistan: Protest Discourses and Practices

This thesis is devoted to the study of the mediatization of civic activism in Uzbekistan. The aim of the study is to identify current protest practices and discourses using civic activists in social media. The theoretical part includes a literature review on the topic of mediatization of protests and social movements. Also, the study of social and political processes in independent Uzbekistan. In the practical part of the work, a frame analysis of three social flash mobs was carried out, as well as a content analysis of publications.
