This research is aimed at analyzing the strategies used by Amazon in entering the Chinese and Indian markets, as well as comparing their effectiveness in the competitive environment of local e-commerce companies. First, we are going to look at the negative and positive circumstances that the company had to reckon with in order to realize its long-term ambitions in China. This case is then compared with the company's previous experience in entering the Indian electronic market. The goal of the current master thesis is to formulate the factors that determined the optimal strategies of companies entering the international e-commerce market, based on the example of Amazon's expansion to China and India.
