The low-carbon transition process driven by the current environmental agenda has already had an impact on the global economy in terms of the introduction of large renewable generating capacities in recent years. However, this process is highly heterogeneous, especially among fossil fuel exporting countries such as the Russian Federation and Australia. The purpose of the study is to identify the main factors that influence the dynamics of the development of the renewable energy sector in Russia and Australia.
