The role of the virtual platform sector in the global economy is actively growing: 7 out of 10 largest companies by market capitalization develop platform products. This sector has gained traction relatively recently, so it is important to understand the basic principles by which it operates. In this paper, we analyze the key factors of platform competitiveness and strategies for their promotion, consider the prospects of virtual platforms' development, as well as examine the impact of the US and Chinese decoupling process on them.
