This thesis examines the formation of competitive advantages and the choice of the optimal strategy for the growth of a media company in a competitive environment. The study identified the main trends in the development of the global media market, key players, as well as the features of the competitive strategy of the Russian media holding Gazprom-Media. In the course of a comprehensive portfolio analysis, a number of recommendations were developed for the development of key areas of the company.
