EU Policy on Foreign Direct Investment in R&D: the Impact of Chinese Foreign Direct Investment

The paper examines the investment policy of the EU and evaluates the possible impact of Chinese foreign direct investment in the sphere of R&D. In the first chapter the author analyzes the role of MNCs in modern international relations - the main actors in foreign direct investment and influencing the regulatory policy of states in this area. In the second chapter the historical analysis of transnational corporations in China was carried out, the main stages of their development were considered. In the third chapter, an empirical analysis of reports and official documents was carried out to assess the perception of Chinese foreign direct investment by the EU, based on which four hypotheses were put forward and a regression model was built.
