Role of the Film Industry in PRC's Cultural Policy

The graduate qualification work "The role of cinema in PRC cultural policy" is devoted to the study of the film industry's place in PRC cultural policy, as well as various factors that have influenced the development of cinema in the country. The paper examines the basic periodization of cultural policy. The importance of cinema as a method of domestic cultural policy is also raised. The role of cinema is analysed on the basis of the laws that were passed to regulate the sphere. In addition to the aforementioned points, the paper also elaborates on the censorship of Chinese cinema.
